Carebears Blind Bags
The other day I was at Target and found some Carebear blind/mystery bags. So I bought a couple. Now I need to collect ALL of them! ;-)
Recently, I snagged up another blind bag bear- and the best part was, since Target was trying to get rid of them- the blind bag was discounted- only $1.71! Yay!
I was lucky enough to get Harmony Bear~

What Kid in the 80's Didn't Hear About the Carebears?!
Yep, I watched the cartoons, movies, and had a few plush dolls. I have always loved the Carebears. They are cute, cuddly, and all have a different name and theme.
I also got a small plush Carebear (Cheer Bear) the other day. Originally we bought a bag of toys to flip and put up for sale for "Roo's Hobbies" but Tony told me to go ahead and keep it...lol So I did!
I believe when I was younger I gave my Carebears to Goodwill or something like that. When I was antiquing last Friday with my husband Tony, I found a couple big plush Carebears and for five dollars a pop, couldn't resist. :-)
Reading up on the beginning of the Carebears, I didn't know they were originally started as a greeting card line. They were started by the American Greetings Corporation, LLC in 1981. Then in 1983, these lovable critters were turned into the plush dolls for kids. From there the franchise exploded and invaded many a children's home, whether it was the cartoons, movies, greeting cards, books, stickers, toys- you name it!
Here are the 2 cute and lovable pals I snatched up the other day- they are original bears and actually listed online as 2 of the ten original Carebears that came out:
On the left is Bedtime Bear and on the right is Love-A-Lot Bear. Love-A-Lot is in better condition but I used to have Bedtime Bear so really wanted to get him back. With a little light cleaning, he will be as good as new!

Here is a website with the Carebear character names and pictures:
Now I would love to get a few Rainbow Brite dolls back- had Rainbow Brite and her horse I remember. :-)
I just found and bought a vintage "Love-a-lot Bear" from the 80's- I remember having a couple of these growing up:
I found this little cutie a few days ago:
"Oopsy Bear"
I was going to sell this 1983 (w/tags) vintage "Cheer Bear", but I decided to keep him!
And I also got "Brave Heart Lion"- one of the Care Bear Cousins.
